I Will Literally Punch Someone in the Face
Good people of the world, please stop using "literally" as a simple intensifier. That is not the intended use of this word, as even a cursory glance at a dictionary will make clear.
Misuse of this word creates many a verbal faux pas, often to humorous effect. However, after a while, the humor wears thin and it just becomes annoying.
If you choose to disregard this request, please note well the heading on this entry. Please also note well that I am using "literally" in the correct manner.
Thank you for your kind attention.

Professor, I would love to read some of your papers. Or maybe not. I might want to literally hurl.
